What is Reiki and how does it work?

Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive form of energetic healing that can yield powerful results. Reiki is a form of healing that can do no harm and can help to accelerate the healing process from surgeries and injuries. The word Reiki means “universal life-force” energy. This healing energy is channeled into the client (or animal) through the practitioner's hands in order to ease pain, discomfort, stress & illness. This can be done as a hands-on treatment or at a distance. Reiki can be used with animals in a way that is comfortable to them so that they are in control of the session. Reiki works to ease the source of the illness and works for the highest good of the animal. In order to receive the full benefits of reiki, it is suggested to follow a scheduled program of Reiki treatments. Reiki is wonderful to help with illnesses as well as a healing tool for prevention and health maintenance.

Types of animals that Christa works with:

Distance sessions:

Reiki sessions for animals can be done from a distance. This is highly beneficial and preferred to in-person sessions especially if the animal is fearful of strangers, fragile, close to death, in a state of high stress, lives far away, or for animal caregivers that have busy schedules. Distance sessions offer the same results as in person sessions: relief from physical/emotional illness, healing from surgeries, injuries, behavioral issues and easing the dying transition. Distance Reiki can also helps to heal past traumas and situations in the animal's life. Distance sessions are also great in emergency situations, with the session being scheduled the same day or the very next day. Results can be seen in 24-48 hours of the session.

Requirements for distance sessions:

What is required for a distance session for animals: the animal's name, age, breed and a photograph of the animal. This helps to connect the practitioner to the animal's energy. All sessions must be pre-paid. Cash, cheque and paypal are accepted for your convenience. All Reiki sessions are $80.00 CAD.
